Novel forms of interaction for game controllers

During a 3-month residency at Brooklyn Research, I worked with with a team of three to research and explore new ways of interacting with machines within the world of game play. Based on our research, we designed and prototyped two devices that turn familiar household appliances and tools into novel forms of game controllers. By allowing a HIC device to interact with digital interface while perfoming real-world physical tasks, this project merged virtual and physical space and challenged the traditional assumption that video games stay inside a screen.
